20 Dollar Chef - The G.O.A.T. Adam Vinatieri
On this Superbowl edition of 20 Dollar Chef, I had the pleasure of grilling with the most talented clutch kicker in the history of the sport, Adam Vinatieri. Adam grew up hunting in South Dakota and is an avid hunter to this day. So we went to Kincaid's meat market in Fishers, IN and picked up Bison Ribeyes. I could have sat and listened to Adam tell Superbowl stories all day. This episode could have been an hour easy. We talked about Desmond Howard in the 96 Superbowl, We talked about Herschel Walker, the Raiders snow kick and the winning Superbowl kicks against the Rams and Panthers, and his transition to Indy from New England. We talked about his College days at South Dakota State, and about his son following in his footsteps as a placekicker already hitting 50-yard bombs as a sophomore in high school.
Getting a fire going, cooking steaks and talking about Superbowl memories with one of the most clutch humans in sports history was a bucket list experience. He even let me try on all those rings!
I attempted to cook baked potatoes on the grill by cutting them in thick slices. They turned out nicely, although a few got a bit more burned than I'd like. Steaks came out nicely and I'm now a huge fan of cutting up some cabbage, onion and tossing that into some foil with butter, salt, and pepper.
Thanks for watching!
